Fails to send picture

Having an issue when a camera fails to send a photo? The most common issue is the camera has an issue reading/writing to the SD card. Check our troubleshooting guide on formatting SD card, or watch the video.

Check the status report on your app, tap the battery/signal strength icons to open the status report page. Check when the last status report was sent, if it was within the last 24 hours but longer for a photo, it may need to be formatted. If the status report is older and the battery icon is yellow or red, check to see if the batteries have died.

Try to do a manual send, turn the camera onto setup, wait to get a signal. Click OK to take a picture and click OK to send, if it fails to send and you receive an error message about premium credits, it could be due to an expired credit card on file or lack of credits, call for support.

Check the time between photos, it should be set for 2-3 minutes, anything less than 1 minute and the camera may not have enough time to send the photo before attempting to take another, which will lock up the camera. We recommend a 2 minute interval on the M.I.N.E. cameras and no less than 45 seconds with an I.C.E. camera to prevent any locking up issues.

If you are sending it the command code to take and send a photo, make sure you are sending it straight to the camera as a contact. See our troubleshooting about phone numbers.
