Batteries Died and Now My Camera Isn’t Working

Batteries died or ran low?

When this happens, the camera automatically turns off Send Mode and SMS Control (Realtime) to conserve power. After replacing the batteries, be sure to check your settings and confirm that Send Mode is set to “Instant” and SMS Control (Realtime) is turned back on.

If you’re using a Live Streaming camera and the batteries died completely, install 12 AA batteries into the tray and switch the unit to “On.” When power gets too low, the camera enters a power-saving mode and cannot restart using only an external 12V power source. It requires the AA batteries to power back on.

Once the camera has been running for about 24 hours, the internal lithium-ion battery will recharge. At that point, you can remove the AA batteries and return to using the external 12V power source.
