Whole Sounder Success

JAGER PRO® promotes whole sounder success because traditional hunting and trapping methods can sometimes unintentionally condition feral pigs to become more cautious, nocturnal, and difficult to capture.

This behavior is often the result of previous encounters with less effective setups—such as small box traps, narrow gates, or trip wires—used against one of the most intelligent animals in the wild. When a trapping attempt is unsuccessful, pigs that remain outside the trap can learn from the experience and become more hesitant around similar equipment in the future.

By removing the entire sounder at one time, the chances of pigs escaping, surviving, or adapting to the process are greatly reduced. This approach helps limit future reproduction and avoids creating trap-resistant populations.
