How It’s Made
The M.I.N.E.® Gate is constructed with a 16-gauge steel frame and a 2″ x 4″ 6-gauge steel panel, providing a balance of strength and flexibility. Each gate is reinforced with 7-foot T-posts driven 3 feet into the ground on both sides.
Unlike rigid systems that can crack under pressure, these T-posts are designed to flex and absorb kinetic energy from charging hogs. This reduces stress on the structure and helps prevent long-term damage.
The patented 18-60™ Trap Panel design further enhances performance:
- Bottom section: Tight 2-inch spacing prevents piglets from escaping
- Middle section: Reinforced with 4-gauge galvanized steel for adult impact
- Top section: Wider spacing creates visibility and helps the trap blend into the environment
