Is it possible for the M.I.N.E.® Gate or 18-60™ Trap Panels to break?

It is “possible” for any manufactured device to break, however, the M.I.N.E.® Trapping System was designed specifically for feral pig impact. The M.I.N.E.® Gate is constructed of a 16-gauge steel frame with a 2″ x 4″ 6-gauge steel panel. There is a 7-foot-long T-Post driven 3-feet into the ground on each end of the gate for additional strength. Each end of the gate is mounted to the 4-feet of T-Post left out of the ground with two (2) 5/16″ U-bolts. The T-Post is designed to be flexible which absorbs the energy of the impact instead of being rigid to crack or break.

Our patented 18-60™ Trap Panel design includes six horizontal bars only two inches apart then the next six horizontal bars spread to three inches apart which makes the bottom 24 inches impossible for the youngest piglet to escape. The middle is reinforced with additional 4-gauge galvanized steel bars to reinforce adult impact. The top four horizontal bars spread to six inches apart creating 24 inches of visually open space at the top which helps this panel design blend into the night sky from ground level. We have manufactured and sold more than 3,500 sets of our M.I.N.E.® Trapping System to the public with no problems.
