The CCI round you note is excellent, but wouldn’t a standard .22 subsonic bullet penetrate skull better than hollow point which would expand?

We are not worried about skull penetration as all trap related shots are less than 35 feet. 119 out of 134 juveniles (89%) were trapped on the Flint River Project. A hollow point bullet will expand, causing maximum brain damage, with a reduced chance of passing through the skull and damaging our M.I.N.E.® Gate, trap panels or feeder legs. Subsonic hollow points also provide fewer opportunities for a pass-through ricochet to damage an expensive control box or camera (or house during an urban capture) for maximum safety consideration.
